Responsibilities and Qualifications Detail
We are seeking current first-year MBA students to join our M&A practice as Summer Associates supporting our Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles offices. Associates work closely with the firm's senior bankers and clients in processing transactions and in supporting new business development efforts, as well as the development of the firm as a whole. While responsibilities at Lincoln International are often less rigid than at other firms, key associate responsibilities on transactions include the following:
Performing financial analysis and valuations
Conducting industry research
Identifying and contacting potential buyers or acquisition targets
Preparing confidential information memoranda and management presentations
Hosting visits of potential buyers at client facilities
Supporting senior bankers in negotiations, and
Assisting during the due diligence and closing process.
Key responsibilities also include preparation of materials and active participation in new business meetings, and contributing to analyst development and the general growth of the firm.
Qualifications:
Summer Associates are expected to be knowledgeable in finance and accounting as well as have good business judgment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be an assertive, motivated self-starter with the desire and potential to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Prior M&A or investment banking experience is not required.
Summer Associates must be between 1st and 2nd year of business school.
